The top 20 most popular songs chosen to be played at funerals has been revealed. See the full list below.

Predictably, Monty Python's 'Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life' from The Life Of Brian tops the chart, but there are also some pretty bizarre inclusions, such as the Match Of The Day theme tune, and the music to Last Of The Summer Wine and Coronation Street.

The chart of pop, rock and classic funeral songs is dominated by Frank Sinatra and Robbie Williams, but also features Ellie Goulding and Queen.

Co-operative Funeralcare's operations director David Collingwood said: "We think we may be seeing a generational shift in attitudes towards funerals, and the choice of music being requested," said David Collingwood - operations director at Co-Operative Funeralcare, who part the charts of funeral songs together. "Music plays such an important part in people's lives that it now acts as the theme tune to their passing.

"Modern funerals are very much about personal choice, which can be reflected in the choice of music, dress, coffin, flowers, hearses or memorials."
