Muse's Matt Bellamy and actress Kate Hudson have confirmed they have separated, bringing an end to a four year relationship.
The pair started seeing each other in 2010, and have a child together - Bingham Hawn Bellamy - who was born in July 2011.
Hudson's publicist confirmed the news last night (8 December), detailing that the couple had in fact been separated for a while, but only decided to reveal the news now.
Speaking to People Magazine, a representative for the actress stated: "Kate and Matt have been separated for some time now. Despite this, they remain very close friends and committed co-parents."
Muse are currently working on their long awaited seventh studio album, posting intriguing pictures from the studio and repeatedly hinting at various themes for the record.
The band will headline Download festival in June 2015 alongside Kiss and Slipknot, and it is expected that more UK dates will be announced soon.
