Mark Ronson and Sam Smith are currently ruling the mid-January charts with respective No.1s.

Ronson's X Factor-toppling 'Uptown Funk' remains at No.1 in the singles chart after narrowly missing out on the Yuletide top spot. This is it's fourth consecutive week at No.1 with 2.43million streams this week, not far off the 2.53 million record the song broke just weeks ago.

The rest of the singles chart top five is comprised of Philip George at No.2 and Ed Sheeran, Olly Murs and Hozier respectively.

As for the album charts, Sam Smith continues to dominate with In The Lonely Hour, obviously someone isn't so lonely anymore. This constitutes fifth time at the top, moving up from No.3. Ed Sheeran's X, George Ezra's Wanted On Voyage, Taylor Swift's 1989 and Olly Murs' Never Been Better make up the rest of the top five.
