Kaiser Chiefs and Kylie Minogue have announced a series of UK racecourse shows for this summer.

Kylie is set to headline a British Summer Time date in Hyde Park in June, alongside Grace Jones and Chic. She's now announced that she's opening Newmarket Nights on 19 June, and will also play a show at Haydock Park Racebourse on 20 June.

In a statement definitely not written by someone else on her behalf, Minogue said, "“I am so excited to be performing at An Evening at the Races. I have an amazing band and fabulous dancers and can’t wait to share my hits with you in a beautiful summer outdoor show."

She added: “Being from a horseracing city like Melbourne, I’ll be sure to have a flutter on the horses myself.”

Kaiser Chiefs, meanwhile, will also perform at Newmarket and Haydock Park - on 31 July and 7 August respectively. They also, in an effort to out-racecourse Kylie, will play at Sandown on 6 August.
