The world famous Glastonbury Festival came from humble beginnings, inspired by the sights of the Isle of Wight Festival Michael Eavis decided to set up his own festival on his farm in 1970. Tickets cost £1 and was attended by 1,500 people, now it is the biggest festival in the UK which sees over 175,000 people flock to the Pilton Farm in June, along with the biggest names in music.
