Foo Fighters brought a fan on stage at a show in Edmonton last night to front a cover of Rush’s classic track 'Tom Sawyer'. Watch the footage below.

When Dave Growl asked if anybody knew the words to Rush’s rock track and could actually sing, a fan called Brian was brought on stage to try his luck.

As he passed Brian the mic for his big moment, Dave Grohl jokingly remarked, "Welcome to my nightmare." However, what followed was actually pretty impressive.

Brian managed to reach some of Geddy Lee's ridiculously high notes, and there are several monents in the footage where Dave Grohl is visible impressed.

Footage also emerged this week of Foo Fighters' drummer Taylor Hawkins showing off his skills at the tender age of 15.
