"Do not go gentle", the Manics shout in the direction the slow bustle of Blackheath festival performing with their expected volatility, shaking the ground and champagne gripping hands of the audience.
Blackheath Festival is situated in the south-east of London that isn't really London. Relative to other festivals Manics have featured at this summer (Latitude and Electric Picnic), the Blackheath punters were probably less fired up on cheap cider and debauchery. This didn't deter the Manics who played a career spanning headline set alongside Elbow.
Check out our amazing shots of the set here.
The Manic Street Preachers played:
'Motorcycle Emptiness'
'Walk Me to the Bridge'
'Your Love Alone Is Not Enough'
