Adele reportedly turned down millions of pounds to record the James bond Spectre theme song.

The highly successful singer songwriter apparently didn’t want to record the theme for Spectre because she would’ve found it too difficult to best 2012’s ‘Skyfall’ track.

Adele is currently focused on the release of her new album, 25, which will potentially be released on 11 November. Daily Double Dose reported that the album will come out via XL and Columbia on 11 November, adding that the second single is likely due in the first or second week of November, with a run of TV appearances on the likes of The Today Show, SNL and many more.

She is also now the favourite to headline next year's Glastonbury festival, bookies drastically slashing the odds on the possibility of her taking centre stage.

Blur's Damon Albarn worked with Adele on five new tracks for the new album, describing the new record as "very middle of the road."

Speaking to The Sun, Albarn said, "Adele asked me to work with her and I took the time out for her. And I’m not a producer, so … I don’t know what is happening really. Will she use any of the stuff? I don’t think so. Let’s wait and see. The thing is, she’s very insecure. And she doesn’t need to be, she’s still so young."

He added, "I heard the work she did with my friend Brian, aka Danger Mouse. It’s very middle of the road."
