'A load of incoherent, save the planet, juvenile tosh'

Blur - The Magic Whip: "All of Blub's albums are fodder for the masses, the dumbed down masses who watch television and read the daily mail. Oasis were as bad and as boring. This album is badly produced and typical Blub rubbish. Don't buy it." (Kim F)

Father John Misty - I Love You, Honeybear: "40 odd minutes of Josh Tillman mooning over his new partner with no memorable songs is not a good thing. Some of the lyrics would remove enamel from teeth. Foggy not Misty. Avoid at all costs." (N2Peach)

Madonna - Rebel Heart: "If you like the Carpenters then you will love this ,but hey I thought that listening to the Carpenters was/is a little sad ,and if you listened to them when I was growing up in the suburbs, then you probably would have been called a weirdo. So great if you are a Carpenters fan great, if not avoid at all costs." (tugsyman)

Mumford & Sons - Wilder Mind: What happened did some producer or record label executive have a great idea. "You know what lads that folk sound so last year, get rid of the banjo, double bass and anything else gave you a unique sound, also those choruses that you can sing along to, not needed, lets play to a larger demographic and appeal to those who like Coldplay and Snow Patrol in their more bland moments. Rip out any passion spirit or soul." (Aidan)

Muse - Drones: "I know us muse fans are a hardened and loyal bunch but this is utter pants. this makes the 2nd law sound like origins, if Matt thinks this is the best album for a while, he is finally living on that different planet he has always wanted to live on!!" (David Nicholls)

Bjork - Vulnicura: "I just wish there were some melodies. And I know a break-up is awful, but I am just not that interested in hearing about it on this album." (Nellyraggbagg)

The Libertines - Anthems For Doomed Youth: "This album is unoriginal and at best more tired than Roy Chubby Browns set." (D. Hughes)

Dr. Dre - Compton: A Soundtrack: "Possibly the worst album ever, i loved 2001, liked the chronic but this sounds like it was made on a casio watch never a keyboard, the beats are awful, the rapping is no better, call it pop music and i could let it go but dont call it rap or hip hop" (billo)

Courtney Barnett - Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit: "Just a load of incoherent, wannabee, trying but failing miserably to be shouty, save the planet, juvenile tosh (respect for the motives). Behind the dreadful lack of any decent lyrics, musically sounds like composed by a four year old." (David Edwards)

Bob Dylan - Shadows In The Night: "This album is the worst album that I have ever heard - and I've got all of Dylan's albums. He even sings out of tune in places. I honestly do not know what Dylan was thinking about putting out such a rubbish album. It really is appalling." (Gordon)

Mark Ronson - Uptown Special: "Absolutely Terrible! The language on one of the tracks is disgusting! There is no hope for music, for the human race even, if this is a reflection of where we find ourselves today." (see)

Florence The Machine - How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful: "Over rated formulaic & bland. The woman is a whining talentless wet blanket. If this is the best the UK can muster, lord help us!" (susan stone)
