31 March: Chvrches play the gig they were born to play, as Every Open Eye sees them rise to greatness with a triumphant night at London's iconic Royal Albert Hall.

"Your shoes don't stick to the carpet or anything in here," smiles a humbled Lauren Mayberry as she stares out into the dizzying heights as her eyes scale the vast hall before her. It's only up from here...we know, 'don't aim too high."

On the contrary. Tonight, the likes of 'We Sink' and 'Gun' bloom into the space - as if they were designed for arenas. Meanwhile, new arrivals 'Bury It' and 'Clearest Blue' only punctuate the fact that they've truly arrived - this is a reaction worthy of pop giants. They were once supporting Depeche Mode, but now we daresay that they'll go on to threaten their crown. What a night.
