Rising and falling acoustic melodies soundtrack a sweet, authentic duet between Vile and his hero Prine, who passed away from COVID-19 in the spring. Vile called the partnership "the single most special musical moment in my life".
“The truth is John was my hero for a long time when he came into The Butcher Shoppe to recut one of his deepest classics with me. And, man, I was floating and flying..." Vile notes.
The singer-songwriter will also cover Prine's 'Speed of the Sound of Loneliness' as well as 'Gone Girl' by Nashville's "Cowboy" Jack Clement. Clement's protegé David “Fergie” Ferguson recorded the EP.
Watch out for two KV originals on the EP, too.
