Sir Paul McCartney is to end his touring career following a farewell concert tour next year, it's been reported.
The former Beatle is said to be planning a series of spectacular shows which will take him to locations he hasn't previously performed.
According to The Sun newspaper, possible gig spots include Berlin's Checkpoint Charlie and Tiananmen Square in China.
A source said: "Paul wants to go out with a bang.
"He's played countless stadiums over his 50-year career and is on the hunt for the most unusual locations he can find.
"He realises that the older he gets, the less his body will be able to cope with the demands of extended periods on the road.”
The farewell tour will last “well over a year” - taking the former Beatle up to his 70th birthday, the newspaper claimed.
Sir Paul's last gig took place at Citi Field in New York earlier this month.
His publicist had yet to respond to Gigwise's request for comment when this story went to press.
