Blighted by torrential rain, Glastonbury 1985 was the muddiest year yet. It was also the largest yet, with the site enlarged after Michael Eavis purchased the neighbouring Cockmill Farm providing ample, if ridiculously muddy room for the 40,000 strong crowd. The Boomtown Rats, Ian Drury and the Blockheads, The Pogues and Midnight Oil all braved the adverse conditions.
- Well done Eavis, registered for ticket on Friday, photo was rejected, told to re-register but this was not possible until Monday.
- got my ticket too, cant wait for june 2010. shame glasto attracts nerds who make comments like "there were very clear guide lines". remember to pack your man-nappies my friend
- Was very refreshing come Sunday Morning, 9.05 to have my ticket in the bag. I remember in 2004 I was online for 15 solid hours!! Will be my 7th Glasto in a row, can't wait!!
- photo 5 of 26 is funny. on the poster, one of the main selling points is "speakers" & "food" haha.
