24. Passion Pit: 'Manners' (Columbia) After creating their fair share of hype with 2008s Chunk Of change EP, Passion Pits full-length debut Manners arrived with a mixture of hope and anticipation upon its release in May. Thankfully, it didnt disappoint either. Despite frontman Michael Angelakoss tendency to sound like a prepubescent adolescent, Manners succulent melodies and catchy riffs made it an exhilarating listen - and one which managed to effortlessly combine euphoria with the occasional down-tempo moment. You cant argue that the Massachusetts band didnt deliver when it really mattered. (Jason Gregory)

- Moderat, Memory Tapes and Vitalic?!! Great list for including those alone

- The Blueprint 3? That is one rubbish album. Shame that Jay Z hasn't made a good album for 8 years.

- Tune-Yards should have been on this list.

- Gotta be the best album list I've read so far!

- bunch of marginally talented hipster douches ruined this list.
YYY and Muse are the only ones worth buying.
