Neil Young: Live At Massey Hall 1971 (2007) - “I’ve written so many songs I couldn’t think of anything else do with them other than sing them” Young explains in perhaps the only moment of joviality in this 1971 solo set. The sombre mood is compounded by songs of solitude and isolation, with “The Needle and the Damage Done” and the self-explanatory “Bad Fog of Loneliness” particular highlights.
