There’s no such thing as a dull week in the music industry - and this week (January 9-15) was no different.
Starting with Amy Winehouse’s comeback gig in Brazil, which saw her hook-up with Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, this week also saw this year’s BRIT Awards nominations announced, with Tinie Tempah dominating the shortlist.
There was also good news on the baby front, as Kate Hudson, the girlfriend of Muse’s Matt Bellamy, confirmed she was pregnant, while Bruno Mars sold out his debut UK tour in minutes.
But there was also sadness, as the tragic death from pneumonia of Broadcast’s Trish Keenan was confirmed as the week came to an end.

Dire Straits ‘Money For Nothing’ Censored In Canada: Dire Straits hit song ‘Money For Nothing’ was censored in Canada - over 25 years after it was released. The Canadian Broadcast Standards Council said it was too offensive for Canadian broadcasts because it includes the word “f*ggot” three times.
