It's the month of December at last as the yuletide season whether you love it or hate it, closes in like there is no tomorrow. As such the stars are coming out to shine, with the first "Jingle Ball" taking place last night at Manchester's M.E.N arena.

A representation of some of the biggest acts in Britain right now, last night had a rather large line-up consisting of Matt Cardle, Example, Emeli Sande, The Wanted, Dappy, Tinchy Stryder and JLS.

Preceding the 'Jingle Bell Ball' in London this weekend, the event was a smash taking place in Europe's largest indoor arena, host to 21,000 attendees.
