It's resolution time so that means you are probably going to go out and invest in a gym membership that you are only going to take advantage of for the next two weeks, then get lumped with the bills for the rest of the year.

But good intentions are at least, well good! We've compiled a list of the top ten work out songs to get you in the mood and keep your stamina levels up.

The fitness bible within contains classics from Survivor, Metallica and even Pendulum, check it out to see where your gym favourite has landed.

Now get of your arse you wibbly excuse for a man and give me one hundred star jumps...

  • 10) Metallica - Master Of Puppets: This classic from the kings of metal will get any heart racing, even if it's just from frantically playing air guitar, in your underwear, in front of the mirror (which is something we never do).

  • 9) Florence And The Machine - Shake It Out: The subject matter of this song relating to Welch exorcising her alcohol related demons should strike a chord with anyone who indulged a little too much over the festive season.

  • 8) Kanye West - Stronger: A song to motivate your sweaty self into envisioining your Terminator like physique in the near future.

  • 7) Salt N' Pepa - Push It: These two lovely ladies are still going on strong and at this point in your work so should you. Push it that little bit farther you damp pansy.

  • 6) LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out: Boxercise this beyatch...

  • 5) Eminem - Lose Yourself: This motivational piece from rabbit should get any person shadow boxing in the mirror.

  • 4) Pendulum - Slam: The key to a good work out is apparently to coordinate the BPM of the music you are listening to to your heart beat. So now you should be hitting the 160-170 mark so it's drum and bass time.

  • 3) Adele - Hometown Glory: This awesome remix from the afro king of Hospital records is a brilliant epic rolling tune with soaring vocals from Adele. He is set to release his new album featuring Underworld and Tiesto later this year.

  • 2) Skream Feat. Sam Frank - Anticipate (Netsky Remix): This melodic heavy hitting beauty from a production dream team is everything you need in a work out tune.

  • 1) Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger: What else could be better for number one? If it's good enough for Rocky it's good enough for you. Hopefully you're nearly at the end of your work out right now, so think of Stallone hitting those last steps like a hero.
