Daft Punk comeback rumoured for June, check out biggest and best

Daft Punk: Will they finally make their studio comeback in Summer 2012? And more importantly - will it be any good?

Chemical Brothers: The duo's recent work has consisted of soundtrack work (for Black Swan and Hanna). Hopes are high for a studio comeback.

Underworld: Together for over 30 years, duo Karl Hyde and Rick Smith will forever be known for their hit, 'Born Slippy'. They will next direct the music for the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games.

Orbital: Back in a big way for 2012, brother Phil and Paul Hartnoll have recently announced a string of summer festival dates and are currently working on new album Wonky (their first since 2004). The new record will feature guest spots from Zola Jesus and Lady Leshurr.

Groove Armada: From chillout classic 'At The River' to pop smash 'Song 4 Mutya', Groove Armada have all bases covered. Best known of late for curating one of London's finest festivals, three-day summer-spectacular, Lovebox.

Leftfield: Paul Daley and Neil Barnes made their names in 1995 with debut album 'Leftism'. Leftfield now consists of Barnes alone, and a new studio album is in the pipeline.

Basement Jaxx: Aside from a string of chart hits and big name collaborations, Basement Jaxx are known for their high energy live performances which mixes camp with carnival. Duo Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe are currently working on their eighth studio album.

Justice: Natural heirs to Daft Punk's electronic throne, French duo Gaspard Aug� and Xavier de Rosnay have thrilled dance fans with two incredible albums and amazing live shows.

2 Many DJs: Whether working as Soulwax, The Flying Dewaele Brothers or 2 Many DJs, one thing remains constant - David and Stephen Dewaele are always brilliant. Check out their website Radio Soulwax for further proof of their amazingness.

Digitalism: The German counterparts to French duo Justice, Jens Moelle and İsmail T�fek�i are similiarly heroes of the current electro scene.

With Oscar-winning producer Paul Williams announcing that a new Daft Punk album could be with us as early as June 2012, we felt it was time to celebrate some of the biggest dance duos of all times.

As we all know, when Daft Punk are good - they are very very good, and hopes are high for their upcoming fourth studio album. Hopefully it will be more along the lines of 'Homework' and 'Discovery' - and less like rushed third release, 'Human After All'.

Obviously Daft Punk aren't the only dance duo to have established (and maintained) a huge presence in the dance world, so from the massive (Chemical Brothers, Basement Jaxx) to the new pretenders to the throne (Justice, Digitalism), we look at the best dance duos of all time.
