Mind-bending and soul-warming, the 60s revivalist sounds of London's Venice Trip is not indicative of any novelty or fleeting trend - but rather a band who are so enamoured with the majesty of the era they commit to progressing the sounds for the ears of millennials.
The quartet have been making a name for themselves with relentless touring and rightfully given support from the likes of BBC Introducing. The band formed at university, the very same establishment that hosted the legendary Syd Barrett 50 years previous. There must be something left of the Floyd man's DNA in the water because Venice Trip embody Barrett's legacy to a tee.
'Said Too Much' is a woozy and engulfing pop hit disguised with masterfully atmospheric production and a sentimental complexity that reflects both the interstellar nature of the song and the plotline from Christopher Nolan's 2014 blockbuster.
