Chris Brown has become the latest victim of US craze for 'swatting' stars, after police swooped on his LA home following a fake report of a domestic violence incident at the property.
Brown's home was said to be 'swarming' with police officers after a report of violence. The LAPD are said to have searched the singer's home for evidence of violence in the raid, which was a stunt by a US joker.
Brown is not the first star to be pranked in such a way, with Miley Cyrus, Justin Biebe, Ashton Kutcher, Tom Cruise and Kim Kardashian all previously having received the same police report fakes. The practice is known as 'swatting' in America, with the aim of jokers to get officers to swoop onthe homes of celebrities under false pretences.
An unknown caller made the report yesterday (21 January, 2013), claiming a couple arguing could be heard at an LA address - which turned out to belong to Brown. US reports also claim that the caller reported that Brown was armed with a gun after the feud had escalated.
Chris Brown is believed to not have been at home at the time of the police raid.
