19 July, 2013: Despite being marred by travel complications for many festival goers, Latitude Festival's first day saw memorable performances from the likes of The Maccabees, CHVRCHES and headliners Bloc Party.
Bloc Party's headline set was to be their final performance for a while as the British group have decided to go on an indefinite hiatus. Lead singer Kele Okereke seemed to take several long glances into the Suffolk crowd to ensure he soaked up the atmosphere for one last time.
The Maccabees took a break from writing and recording their fourth studio album to delight the Latitude revellers with tracks including 'Love You Better', 'Toothpaste Kiss' and 'Pelican' going down very well indeed.
