Worth the wait? Big albums set for release in 2014
Metallica, Guns N Roses, Slipknot, MKS, Solange, Avalanches - who's confirmed for next year?
- Metallica: Are you ready to rock? Well, next year at least. Metal legends Metallica have confirmed that they have set aside next year to work on a new record, a follow up to their 2008 release, Death Magnetic. Fans have been waiting for five years already, and are hoping the band will crack on and give in to massive demand for more new music.

2014 is nearly upon us! OK, it's really not. We're only just the halfway point of 2013, but already the list of albums scheduled for release next year is looking pretty damn impressive.
2014 will see the return of some of the biggest names in rock, when the likes of Metallica, Slipknot and Guns N Roses break their silences and release new records. A number of much-missed UK superstars, including Lily Allen and Adele, have confirmed their new albums will be released in 2014 and some of the hottest pop artists of this year, such as Solange and Mutya Keisha Siobhan, have promised to take their time on upcoming release and drop something spectacular next year.
Obviously it's still summer 2013 - but that's no reason to look ahead to the first confirmed album release of 2014...
