Breakout New Zealand star Lorde has spoken out against Disney princesses Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift by saying that she will never pretend she is 'mental' like they do.
Speaking to GQ's Q blog, Lorde outlined her problem with the subject material that the prissy collective in question choose to sing about.
"The difference between those kids and me is that I grew up completely normally and went to parties and had that experience," she says in the interview. "I am way less inclined to be like, ‘Look! I’m f**king mental!’"
This follows on from last months feud with Selena Gomez that was instigated after Lorde stated that the lyrics for Gomez's song 'Come And Get It' were anti-feminist. Gomez responded to the criticism, saying that if Lorde was the feminist she claims to be then she wouldn't be attempting to pull down other women in the industry.
In the interview Lorde also discusses the perks of new found fame and money now that Royals has stormed the charts. "I am so used to not having money that spending over $200 — I don’t even think I could do it," she admits going onto say: "It’ll just be geeky sh*t — first-edition books and rare pressings of records."
