Rod Stewart has announced details of a massive UK stadium tour for June 2014. Full dates and ticket details are below.
The former Faces and solo icon will be taking his massive-selling No.1 album Time on the road for some huge gigs in Brighton, Blackpool, Stoke, Taunton and Falkirk. Now in his fifth decade in the music industry, Mr Stewart CBE has shifted over 100 million records worldwide.
The string of massive dates also just so happens to lead up to the weekend of Glastonbury Festival - could we see the legend making a special appearance at Worthy Farm next year?
Earlier this year, Stewart made headlines when he asked why he hadn't been knighted like Mick Jagger and Tom Jones. Speaking to Radio Times magazine, he said: "Mick doesn't pay taxes here and Tom lives in America", Stewart confesses. Although he claims he's "not bothered" about being knighted, he joked about having one thing in common with the queen - his unchanged hair style.
"If my time comes, it will. But if it doesn't, I'm not bothered. The queen and I have one thing in common. The same hairstyle for 45 years!"
His confirmed 2014 stadium dates are as follows:
Fri 13 June Amex Stadium, Brighton
Sat 14 June Britannia Stadium, Stoke
Wed 18 June Somerset Cricket Ground, Taunton
Fri 20 June Bloomfield Road Stadium, Blackpool
Sat 21 June Football Stadium, Falkirk
Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 22 November. For more information visit Gigwise gig tickets.
