...But it is Pharrell who is the real winner

'Blurred Lines' by Robin Thicke has be revealed as the biggest selling single of 2013, despite being one of the most controversial and divisive releases of the past 12 months.
The offensive track has been banned from universities across the UK and sparked huge outrage and debate over its offensive lyrics throughout the year - but that hasn't stopped people buying the track in their tens of thousands. The track has sold 1.44million copies in the UK alone during 2013, easily topping Daft Punk's comeback track 'Get Lucky', which has sold 1.28million this year.
In the information, released by The Official Charts Company, Pharrell Williams is the real winner however, as he is a key part in the No.1 and No.2 songs on the list.
"I'm humbled by all of the love the UK fans have shown. But, when you are working with incredible talent like The Robots and Robin, great things are bound to happen," he says in a statement to the OCC.
Avicii's 'Wake Me Up' is the third biggest-selling, 'Let Me Go' by Passenger is fourth and Naughty Boy's chart topper 'La La La' is the fifth biggest selling.
