If these happened, it would be incredible...

More about:

It's not a world tour, but it is a start. Daft Punk will perform at the 2014 Grammy Awards, their first live permance since the French duo released their all-conquering comeback album, Random Access Memories, in 2013.

We have no idea what a Daft Punk live show in 2014 will involve. The last time DP toured, they were playing tunes from their iconic Homework and Discovery albums, perched high above the audience in their magnificent pyramid. But things have changed, with the band now re-incarnated as masters of funky disco beats rather than dancefloor drops and club anthems.

We do know that Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers and Stevie Wonder will be involved in the performance - but that's about it. Here is our wishlist for the performance (which takes place on 26 January 2014). If just some of these happened, we'd be bery happy indeed...

  • All the focus to be on Thomas and Guy: We've seen a lot of Nile Rodgers in 2014. We've seen even more of Pharrell Williams. The real stars of the show at Thomas Bangalter and Guy Manuel de Homem Christo, and that's who we'll be tuning in to see. This is a rare instance where the singer won't be the focus point...

  • Charles (and Beatrice): Daft Punk first hit the music scene with their iconic club smash, 'Da Funk', with an unforgettable video starring dog-man Charles awkwardly romancing Beatrice. Last seen in the band's 'Fresh' video driving off into the sunset, a little fan service here would bring a smile to people the world over.

  • Something new with Stevie Wonder: Not only will DP be joined by Pharrell and Nile Rodgers on the Grammys stage, but Stevie Wonder will also join the robot duo - but for what? It's unlikely that they will premiere any new music, but how about a Daft Punk remix of a Wonder classic? Now that would be truly special

  • Audience reactions: And of course, we want to see what the celebrities watching make of one of the most eagerly awaited live performances in years...

  • The pyramid: Did you see Daft Punk when they toured in 2007? If you did, it's likely that you're still talking about it now. We want to see the duo back where they belong, high above the audience in their iconic pyramid, dealing out big beats to their subjects below.

  • The 'Around The World' dancers: Daft Punk will need to fill the stage - and proved they know how to do just that in their 'Around The World' video in 1997. There's no need for new costumes, just dust off the swimmers, skeletons and spacemen from this iconic video.

  • But above all, we want to see things go a little crazy: Daft Punk haven't always been modern day disco kings, and on their early albums, show they more than know how to get a party started. We want to see the 2014 Grammy Awards turned into one hell of a party. All they need to do is drop 'One More Time' into the mix and we'll have lift-off.
