Lady Gaga has spoken of her struggle with depression on the Little Monsters fan site, sharing intimate details with her followers.
The ARTPOP star has been having a bit of a bad time of late, as her album has received huge amounts of criticism, her 'Do What U Want' video has been much delayed and she has recently made claims of having been 'mismanaged' and 'betrayed' by friends and colleagues. All this may have had a distinct effect on the singer as she turned to her Little Monsters fan site in order to post about depression.
"Depression is just like any season, it will change, and before you know it you will see the first flower blooming," she writes. "Then another. Then another. Before you know it your whole life will be in bloom. And you'll no longer remember the winter."
Recently Lady Gaga has responded to claims that the relatively poor performance of her 2013 album ARTPOP cost record Interscope millions, and led to staff at the label losing their jobs.
An article in the Examiner (which has since been withdrawn) claimed Interscope had lost around $25 million (£15 million) due to the poor sales of the singer's third album, which caused staff at the label to be made redundant.
