Nicholas Hoult has been announced in the lead role in the upcoming movie adaptation of John Niven's iconic music industry book, Kill Your Friends.
The cult classic novel follows the adventures of murderous Stephen Stelfox, a record label A&R in the Britpop era. This is the role that will be taken by Hoult, who has found Hollywood fame since his days as an actor in Skins, in roles in movies such as X Men: First Class, A Single Man and (err) Jack The Giant Killer.
Also included on the cast list are Craig Roberts, Tom Riley, Georgia King, Jim Piddock, Joseph Mawle, James Corden and Edward Hogg.

"I’m delighted to get this exceptionally sharp and funny script into production with such a brilliant director, cast and crew," said producer Gregor Cameron in a recent interview with Musicweek about the movie.
"Cool Britannia might just sound like a term to describe climate change now, but that era marked massive turning points in our history and culture, the repercussions of which we are still dealing with in every walk of life. We are excited to be exploring it with such loveable characters from the music industry who threw the party they thought would never end."
