One of the tracks on Michael Jackson's upcoming posthumous album of unheard material deals with the subject of child abuse, it has been revealed.
Earlier this week, it was announced that eight unreleased tracks of completed vocals by the King Of Pop had been unearthed by Epic Records boss LA Reid, and produced by the likes of Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins, Stargate, Jerome “Jroc” Harmon and John McClain to add a 'fresh, contemporary sound that retains Jackson’s essence and integrity'. The end result was a new album, Xscape.
Now, The Mirror reports that one of the 'lost' tracks is called 'Do You Know Where Your Children Are' - and tells the story of an abused 12-year-old who runs away from home and turns to prostitution.
The lyrics read: "She wrote that she is tired of stepdaddy using her/Saying that he’ll buy her things, while sexually abusing her."
The track is sure to raise eyebrows among some MJ critics, as the Thriller star was twice accused of child sex abuse charges. He was cleared in a high-profile case in 2005, but the rumours and stigma plagued him throughout his later years.
