Butch Vig, the producer of the new Foo Fighters album, claims the record is half-finished.
Speaking to Kerrang! Vig - who is also part of Garbage and produced Nirvana's iconic Nevermind - opened up about the process, hinting at the sound. He reiterated comments made by Grohl that the band were experimenting with new sounds on the album, saying that there will be a different "feel" to the record.
"We've been recording at some different locations, but we're almost halfway done with the recording and it's going well," Vig told the magazine. "It sounds different – we've thrown a few things into the mix, in the recording process, that are going to give the record a different sound and a different feel. It's been a challenge, but it’s also been exciting."
