Avril Lavigne has deleted the video for her new track, 'Hello Kitty', from YouTube, after the world at large expressed shock at her latest release. Fortunately, other uploads still exist. See below.
The track is the latest to be taken from her fifth, self-titled album, and was co-written by her husband, Nickelback frontman, Chad Kroeger. 'Hello Kitty' is a hi-energy, J-pop inspired track and the eye-boggling video sees Lavigne dressed in Japanese costume, dancing with a troupe of Asian dancers. Questions have been raised over whether there is an element of racism in the release, but it is certainly no more racist than anything Gwen Stefani did with her troupe of Harajuku girls. Although it is a lot more rubbish. It is so terrible.

Twitter users described the track as "The opposite of music" and "As bad as you can imagine", while US publication Billboard said it is "An embarrassment in any language."
