Thumpers, 7pm, Friday 20 June, Camden Town Brewery: They haven't conquered the world - BUT THEY WILL. Thumpers are your next favourite band, and if you're not already acquainted with the sweet indie-pop sounds of 'Sound Of Screams' from their debut album Galore, then CC14 is the perfect place to make some overdue introductions.
Mausi, 8pm, Friday 20 June, Camden Town Brewery, : Responsible for (what is potentially) the pop hit of the summer, this London-based band are worth checking out for new track 'My Friend Has A Swimming Pool' alone. Fortunately, they have loads of other brilliant anthems to their name, such as future hits 'Move' and 'Sol'.
Paws, 8pm, Friday 20 June, Underworld: The Glasgow band recently fell foul of Morrissey's wrath (he demanded they cancel a gig in the same venue he was scheduled to perform a show) but he was probably just worried these hard-hitting Scots were going to tempt his fans away. Masters of melancholic but melodic power-pop rock, these guys WILL be massive.
Alexis Taylor 10pm, The Roundhouse, Friday 20 June: As everyone knows - Hot Chip are great, but Hot Chip's solo projects are even greater. Following the success of Joe Goddard as a solo artist and part of The 2 Bears, frontman Alexis Taylor is the second member of the band to go fully solo. Expect some seriously skewed pop when he performs at the Roundhouse.
Pins, 9pm, Friday 20 June, Underworld: Grunge is alive and kicking, and this is the band to bring it back. Dark, dirty melodies have made Pins a formidable force on the UK rock scene. Best of all, things have only just gotten started for the band.
D/R/U/G/S, 11pm, Friday 20 June, Electric Ballroom: Their rightful heir to the Jon Hopkins throne, this Manchester DJ and producer has been making waves for several years, and is on the cusp of greatness and, of course, huge-ness. His distorted, blissful beats are subtle yet sublime and are deeply infectious, despite their apparent lack of conventional structure.
Dirty Beaches, 8:30pm, Friday 20 June, Electric Ballroom: Sweet but surreal pop from this Canadian band (who were once a solo project), the psychedelic sounds of Dirty Beaches can be both unsettling and deeply danceable.
Sophie, 10pm, Friday 10 June, The Jazz Cafe: Not a girl. Not a girl. Sophie is the project of a mysterious producer, who has confused plenty but delighted even more with his glorious, progressive dance beats. His track 'Bipp' was an electronic stand out of 2013. You will dance.
