Jessie Ware - Tough Love: Set for release on October 6th, we couldn't be more excited for the follow up to Jessie Ware's Mercury-nominated debut. With the brilliant title track already setting the bar high, we're holding out for another soulful pop smash.
Death From Above 1979 - The Physical World: After a string of surprise live dates last year, DFA's comeback record is so close we can pretty much taste it (well, not quite, what does distortion even taste like anyway?). Nevertheless, we're seriously hyped to hear some new basslines we can shout along to at ridiculous volumes, which this record will no doubt deliver on.
Alt J - This Is All Yours: Perhaps one of the most intriguing records still to come this year, we have no idea what to expect from Alt J's long awaited follow up record, and it seems like the guys are keeping their cards close to their chest with the contrasting tracks that have surfaced online so far. Can we expect more Miley Cyrus samples across the record? Who knows
Foo Fighters - TBA: Intrigue around the Foo Fighters' as yet untitled eighth album is heating up, with a release date set for November, A surprise London gig at the invictus games and as of this week, what is believed to be official album art. Oh Grohl, you tease.
Interpol - El Pintor: In the wake of a string of massive festival appearances this summer that saw them once again prove they are one of the best bands in the world, Interpol's long awaited comeback record is a momentous return to form. We can't wait.
Banks - Goddess: Forget Neon Jungle and questionable legal issues, we all know Banks' much-hyped debut album is going to be nothing short of incredible (if the strength of her singles to date are anything to go by).
Slipknot - TBA: After unveiling 'The Negative One', their first new track in six years earlier this week, Slipknot's fifth album promises to be special, especially considering how their sound will change after the death of bassist Paul Gray and the departure of Joey Jordison.
Weezer - Everything Will Be Alright In The End: September 30th will see Weezer release their first album in four years, which is worth getting VERY excited about (if only for the amazing artwork). Providing a strong comeback already with dynamite single 'Back to the Shack', we think this might just be the return to form this band needs.
Frank Ocean - TBA: This may be a long shot, but not too long ago Frank Ocean told a fan he'd be releasing a new album in 'summer 2014'. We know there's not much of the season left, but there's still a chance right? G'wan Frank, just do a Beyonce and drop a follow up to Channel Orange unexpectedly please.
David Bowie - TBA: Probably another long shot, but Bowie is an old hand at dropping surprise albums so who knows what the rest of the year might bring. Rather recently the thin white duke also promised new material 'soon', so here's hoping it's before the year's over.
The Twilight Sad - TBA: The Twilight Sad have been subtly hinting at a forthcoming fourth album for quite some time now, whilst also debuting a host of new tracks at their emotionally intense live shows. With no official announcement or release date just yet, we're hoping our favourite Scottish misery-machines give us some new material ASAP.
Ryan Adams - Ryan Adams: RADAMS IS BACK! We've waited far too long for the return of the alt-country superstar, and anticipation couldn't be higher for his self titled record due out in September. After hearing some tracks he's debuted at various live shows over the last few weeks, we've got a feeling it's going to be pretty bloody incredible.
Prince & 3RDEYEGIRL - PlectrumElectrum: He's been dropping a run of awesome new singles over the last year, and after signing a new deal with Warner Bros, they say the Purple One's long-awaited 36th album (THIRTY SIXTH!) album is 'coming soon'. From the twisted classic rock fun of 'PretzelBodyLogic' and 'FixUrLifeUp' to the cheeky r&b gem 'Breakfast Can Wait' and the shimmering pop of 'FallInLove2Nite', it's shaping up to be one hell of an album.
Gerard Way - Hesitant Alien: The former My Chemical Romance man has gone solo. Gone is the drama and the opera, replaced with some full-throttle pop-punk fire supposedly influenced by Britpop icons such as Pulp and Blur. Needless to say, we're intrigued.
Blink 182 - TBA: With some massive shows on the horizon and hype around the trio firmly back at fever pitch, it's surely only a matter of time before Blink drop a new record. Mark Hoppus recently confirmed the band would be recording soon as well, so fingers crossed we don't have to wait too long.
SBTRKT - Wonder Where We Land: Returning with a completely new style, SBTRKT's second album promises to be worth the three year wait. Dropping the delightfully bonkers 'New Dorp, New York' with Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig earlier this week and a ton of special guests lined up judging by the tracklist, we're seriously hyped.
Iamamiwhoami - BLUE: Despite having a near-untypable name, Iamamiwhoami make music that is overwhelmingly beautiful, so immersive you can pretty much swim in it and all round just amazing. It is with little surprise then that we're massively anticipating the group's third record due out in November on their own label. We're ready to be astounded.
Jamie T - Carry on the Grudge: Replacing cockney intensity for a more subdued style, Jamie T's return surprised a lot of people recently, which builds a lot of buzz for his long-overdue third record. Despite the questionable title, we're holding out for big things.
