More about: Fever 333
They formed just over two years ago in California with an intense concoction of genres like punk, hip-hop, metal and rap that makes them the unparalleled powerhouse they are today. Evoking sounds similar to those of other rock giants like Rage Against the Machine, Korn and Linkin Park, The Fever 333 also have their own particular style. Butler’s exceptional vocal range along with Harrison and Improta’s expertise come together in powerful unity.
And on Thursday night (7 November), they're in London.
Before the start of the show, the only visible prop is a white blanket covering the stage. That, and the tranquility of a highly-lit up O2 Forum in Kentish Town is not at all representative of what is about to happen. Their "demonstration" (as they like to call their shows) begins vigorously with ‘Made an America’, followed by songs from their debut studio album, ‘Strength in Numb333rs’, produced by fellow punk legends John Feldmann and Travis Barker.
For their rendition of Green Day’s ‘Brain Stew’ they are joined by Nova Twins, a UK-based female duo that bring in some incredible distortions and powerful basslines, and who are definitely young artists to look out for.
We would be lying if we said we remember a single moment where the crowd was not completely frenzied. It would also be a lie if we said these guys are not worth every second of the craze.
Seeing Butler taking selfies with fans on his way to the balcony to sing ‘Am I Here?’, or the fact that Harrison stayed after the concert talking to fans shows that they care about the people that listen to them and their impact they are making.
A band’s interaction with their audience is crucial, but what The Fever 333 do is much more than that. Their aim is to create a community and call for action against the injustices of a world that is becoming divided by corrupt political powers, as well as to protest a music industry where opportunities are scarce and unequal. Their show feels raw and human which is something rare in today’s frivolous music business, and it is why these guys are to be treasured.
