More about:

Rising icon and London’s newest pop-princess Bella Latham, who goes by the stage name Baby Queen, is one of the most talked about acts around. Tipped with her teenage-angst sensibilities and an ever-growing fanbase, she’s on her way to stardom with The Yearbook.

Exploring an abundance of topics and real-life tales, Bella breaks free with an emotional whirlwind 10-track bonanza.  Already-released and extremely well-loved songs, ‘Raw Thoughts’, ‘You Shaped Hole’, ‘American Dream’, ‘Dover Beach’ and ‘These Drugs’ move to the back of the stage as some brand new, candid and rather raw offerings take the spotlight and present a new side to Latham.

Unfiltered and unapologetic, Baby Queen lets loose with honesty about her life, narcotics, partying and love—it’s simply relatable to most. Her discography digs deep into the themes of modern society, social media and the relationship we have with our bodies, creating some heartbreaking verses such as “So I grew up kinda’ hating myself” on ‘Narcissist’, to presenting a poetic spoken word breather in ‘Dover Beach Pt.2’.

Following up, ‘Fake Believe’ is a perfect pop song with bouncy beats and an American spring in its step. It heightens the mood before ‘I’m A Mess’ finishes up. One of the most ardent and uncomfortable tracks to listen to from the mixtape, Baby Queen has emotionally prepared us all for this moment of sadness and melancholy. The title says it all, with her at breaking point, it ends with a breathy Bella which feels like a slight sense of relief - she’s finally let go of the negativity, she’s finally free.

Currently working on her debut album, Baby Queen has created one of the most iconic mixtapes this year - feeling vulnerable whilst being honest, it’s a cry out for anyone who feels alone… sing about it!

The Yearbook is out now.
