Digga D's headline show at London's O2 Academy Kentish Town on Thursday night (21 October) is about as good as a drill show can get. Appalling sound mixing and oft-indistinguishable songs are inconsequential thanks to a rapper whose live rapping abilities outshine most of his contemporaries.

For a man famous for violence and tested relationships with authority, Digga D and his crew were in positive spirits Thursday night, unphased by threats from rival gangs that live only live a tube stop or two away from the Forum.

His performance of fan favourite song '2k17', a track about his disregard for his rivals, is a highlight of the night. D chanting "I know you see this hunting knife that's poking through my jeans" is a perfect glimpse into the ego of the controversial figure.

By the half point of the night, the Academy is fizzling with energy, and excited by the entrance of 'Bringing it Back' co-artist AJ Tracey. The pair take turns rapping, crafting a lyrical back and forth and acting as fan service to a drill-obsessed audience.

Tracey even takes the time to stay alone with the West London star, performing his hit song 'Ladbroke Grove' in front of a giant measuring cup representing D's latest album cover.

Paired with a debut of D's new Squid Game-inspired tune 'Red Light Green Light', a public apology to Arrdee and a remix of Ski Mask's 'Catch me Outside', the night will surely go down in the history books as one of the greats, proving Digga D to be one of the big boys of drill.
