2013 may be only a couple of month’s young, but already the year's early releases are setting the year up to be mighty special indeed.

Flying the flag for blighty is the Devlin. The 23 year olds first effort Bud Sweat and Beers in 2010 caused many heads and ears to turn in the UK grime scene, and now with his latest piece A Moving Picture, the Essex Eminem is back and is proving himself one of Britain's best and brightest.

Opening track 'Sun Goes Down' with Katy B is a fine album-starting piece, the Brit School graduate is more known for her collaborations in the dance and dubstep world but this is proof of her sublime talent mixed with Devlin is a fine match made.

'[All Along The] Watchtower' was the first taster of A Moving Picture and really showed Devlin’s potential in the UK chart spotlight. The collaboration with Ed Sheeran brings a vibrant 21st century spin on the immortal Hendrix cover of Bob Dylan’s original.

'Off With Their Heads' featuring Wretch 32 is a great example of two UK artists in their prime; the truthful lyrics really add a great personal perspective of Devlin’s London upbringing and mixed with the extremely catching produced beat it’s a chart success in the making.

Letter to my Boys from the first lyric “To Whom It May Concern” takes us on another personal journey through Devlin’s past and experiences through his early days in the UK grime scene and layered with precision sounding beats, its another potential chart success.

A Moving Picture is another showcase of Devlin’s exceptional talent; the personal and truthfully written songs are harder than a LA west side story but as British as a Rich Tea biscuit.

The UK music scene is all ready to take the crown for 2013.
