These New Puritans - 'Colours'
An astonishingly tight sounding punk outfit, These New Puritans are set to rock, and like Mark E Smith of The Fall before them (oft quoted as a big influence), they bring in literary influences to their frantic, driving punk. Lead singer Jack Barnett’s voice accentuating and emphasising all the wrong beats but sounding all so right, while twin brother George throws everything at the drums to keep at all together. 'Colours' is edgy, exciting and lyrically curious from a very cool band, who have surely out grown their Southend roots.
Released 05/11/07 on Angular.
