More about: The Strypes
Filmed in the style of a vintage vignette, the Irish quartet run us through their blistering brand of 60s Rock'n'Roll twisted with the punk abandon of being 18 years old and part of touring band.
Speaking on the new record, lead guitarist Josh McClorey said: :"We’ve grown up, musically." He continues: “It’s just a progression. It’s like comparing what we were listening to when we were 12 and 13 to what we’re listening to now. It’s obviously going to be different.”
And that becomes evident from the track-by-track video as the band give their own insider perspective on the album, including the significance of naming songs with "syllables over quality", what track to listen to if you "plan on doing any heavy drugs" and how the Strypes sometimes sound likes "Billy Bragg fronting Fountains of Wayne".
