Sigur Ros have dazzled fans by showcasing their amazing acting skills after making a cameo in a new episode of smash hit show, Game Of Thrones. Watch their appearance below.

After covering 'The Rains Of Castamere' for the show's soundtrack, the band then had the privilege of appearing in an episode. It may be brief, but it's brilliant. There's a mild spoiler coming up, so look away now if you've not seen it yet.

Here we go - SPOILER: The episode sees the Icelandic post-rock trio performing as the wedding band for the nuptials between King Joffrey and Margaery Tyrell. Joffrey doesn't seem to be much of a fan of Sigur Ros - we're guessing he prefers their earlier work, before they became a big deal with Takk.

This isn't the first time the band have appeared on the small screen, after a cameo and brilliant soundtracking of an episode of The Simpsons last year.

Below: The best ever TV show cameos

  • Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody has just announced an upcoming role in 'Game of Thrones'. Lightbody posted on Facebook: "So I did my scene this morning for Game Of Thrones. I looked like this. Can't say much - just it's no pivotal role. Fun!"

  • American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert is set to appear on ''Pretty Little Liars.'' Lambert tweeted about co-star Lucy Hale, writing on Twitter: "First day on set was fun! Excited for more @lucyyhale!"

  • 'Entourage' is known for its celebrity cameos, but they hit the jackpot when Kanye West appeared on the show in 2007.

  • Kylie Minogue played a waitress named Astrid Perth in a 2007 Christmas special of 'Doctor Who'. Executive producer and writer Russell T Davies had written the part especially for the Australian singer.

  • Justin Bieber played teenager Jason McCann on 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.' First appearing in 2010, he reprised his role in 2011 and was shot dead - only onscreen.

  • Spice Girl Geri Halliwell appeared briefly in a 2003 episode of ''Sex and the City.'' Halliwell played an old friend of one of the main characters, Samantha Jones.

  • In possibly one of the weirdest musician cameos, Iggy Pop was on 'Star Trek: Deep Space Nine' in 1997 - playing Yelgrun, a Vorta alien. His casting was a personal triumph for executive producer Ira Steven Behr.

  • Carly Rae Jepsen is due to appear in an upcoming episode of '90210'. The 'Call Me Maybe' singer tweeted: "Shooting a quick scene on 90210 today. I have two lines. (I already forget one of them.) Looking forward to singing though. Hehe."

  • Lily Allen made her debut appearance on Australian soap 'Neighbours' in 2009. Allen confessed to being a huge fan of the show and tweeted: "Neighbours, everybody needs good neighbours. OMFG! Just saw Paul Robinson and Libby Kennedy."

  • And finally, Elton John rocked a 2002 episode of 'Will & Grace' by appearing as himself - and also the head of the gay mafia.
