The American Music Awards took place in Los Angeles last night (23 November) with performances from Taylor Swift, Lorde, Sam Smith, Charli XCX and more. Watch the performances below.
The awards, which were inexplicably and unforgivably hosted by Pitbull, saw Artist Of The Year being awarded to One Direction and Single Of The Year given to Katy Perry's 'Dark Horse'.
But it was the performances that people were really tuning in for, with Lorde performing her Hunger Games soundtrack theme song 'Yellow Flicker Beat' on live TV for the very first time. The singer also curated the soundtrack, and features on four of its songs.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift performed her new single 'Blank Space' (complete with wonderfully faux-insane choreography and facial expressions), Charli XCX did a medley of Fault In Our Stars' 'Boom Clap' and insipid new single 'Break The Rules'. Sam Smith was also joined by A$AP Rocky for 'I'm Not The Only One', and Ariana Grande proved her singing abilities with a three-song mashup which began with a jazz number.
