After bringing The Weeknd on stage in New York, Taylor Swift invited Lorde on stage in Washington D.C. last night to perform 'Royals'. Watch it below.
Following on from her UK tour last month, including a massive Hyde Park gig as part of British Summertime, Swift is currently midway through her US stadium tour. Last night, that tour stopped off at Washington D.C's Nationals Park.
Part way through the show, Swift said to the crowd, "We talked earlier of the potential, if you kept up your awesomeness, for a potential surprise. It's a really good one. Maybe I'll give you some hints to see if you can guess it before I say who it is. Hint No.1 - this artist flew 19 hours from her hometown to be here to perform for you."
After a little more teasing, Swift brought out the New Zealand singer, who (along with most female celebrities under 30) is close friends with the singer, to perform her breakout single 'Royals'.

Later, Lorde took to Twitter to show how pleased she was to have joined Swift, who released her fifth album, 1989, last year.
