A series to wrap up a preposterous year

If you lived through 2020, you might reasonably ask the question: what the fuck was that?

It's not been a normal one, that's for sure, and the time it will take to reckon with what's happened will stretch far into the future. Let's start by looking at how we spent the weirdest year in living memory.

We collared a bunch of our favourite bands and artists and asked them questions about how they experienced the year that all of us will remember forever.

Today, Lucia of Lucia & the Best Boys takes the quiz.

How are you, really?

I’ve had my low points this year but who hasn’t! I feel good and ready to take on the new year as much as I can.

Did you watch Tiger King back in March?

No but I have a list of the 100+ films that I have watched this year.

What else did you binge watch?

Midsomer Murders and Couples Come Dine With Me, a very contrasting combination.

What did you drink and eat too much of?

Drank too much red wine, but I don’t think I ate too much of anything to be honest. I’ve definitely become better at cooking over lockdown so been trying to keep it varied!!

Describe a joyful moment?

The very last take we did for the ‘Perfectly Untrue’ video. I very quickly reflected on the day and thought about how much I had missed making things with other people, and I think everyone there felt the same so everyone was excited to be there! That was definitely one of the best days of the year.

Did you take up a new hobby?

I’ve been running a lot more!

What's the best album you heard in quarantine?

Pang - Caroline Polachek. I was introduced to it right at the very beginning of lockdown and played it through out till my ears bled.

What did you miss the most?

The feel you get after you play a really fun show.

The State of Things EP is out now.
