Who are your favourite This Feeling bands chosen for Big In this year?
I saw The Chase’s “BigIn2021” session and was really impressed. I’m also gonna shout out Cobain Jones and The Royston Club, not only are they both signed on the same label as myself but they’re proper talented.
Favourite album from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s and recent?
60’s - The Beatles - The White Album
70’s - The Rolling Stones - Exile On Main Street
80’s - The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses
90’s - The Verve - Urban Hymns
00’s - Arctic Monkeys - Humbug
Recent - Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds - The Man Who Built The Moon
What inspired you to start a band?
I’m obviously a solo artist now, but when it comes to being part of the formation of the band I used to be in - Vida - it has to be down to a mixture of being beyond obsessed with The Beatles and Oasis when I was going through my teen years. My Dad was in a band when I was younger as well, so I suppose I always aspired to follow in his foot steps.
What's your favourite part of performing live?
The rawness of it all and the energy from the crowd. Simple as that.
Tell us about your latest release.
My latest release is a tune called “Free As A Bird”. This song is heavily influenced by The Las and Cast, and I came up with some of the lyrics while driving on the open road. It’s about keeping heading forward and understanding that our dreams can become a reality if we work hard to achieve them.
What do you have coming up?
An EP is coming very soon with some exciting news around it. I’ll also be back to touring when it’s safe to so again.
