More about:

Gallagher-tested, Gallagher-approved, This Feeling have been a mainstay in promoting the latest indie bands from around the UK for years. They've tipped, among many others, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Blossoms, helping them reach as many people as possible with their career-firing tours.

In February, they lended us their expertise in the newest of the new in indie, publishing their annual 'Big In' list with us. Now, here, you'll find one of those bands spotlighted every week. Get to know them a bit better and have a listen to their latest tune. This week, it's Spangled!

Describe yourselves in 5 words...

Bright, confident, unique, nostalgic, melodic

Who are your favourite This Feeling bands chosen for Big In this year?

Has to be Flechettes and Garden Party, great lads both with some great tunes

Favourite album from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s and recent?

60s The Beatles - Revolver
70s Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds
80s The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses
90s Oasis - (What’s the Story) Morning Glory
00s Arctic Monkeys - Humbug
Now The Orielles - Silver Dollar Moment

What inspired you to start a band?

Watching clips of The Stone Roses playing Blackpool Empress Ballrooms in 1989. We’d all absolutely love to play there some day.

What's your favourite part of performing live?

Getting to share our music with so many people at once. There’s something really special about looking out and seeing so many people enjoying our music.

Tell us about your latest release.

It’s crazy to think it’s now been over a year since we released our second single ‘Measured in Gold’. It’s a song we’ve been ending our sets with for a few years but we still haven’t had the chance to play it live since it’s release. We can’t wait to play it for everyone when we can get back out gigging

What do you have coming up?

We’ve got some new music coming very very soon. We’ve been working flat out over the last year and we’ve got some songs ready that we are really proud of and can’t wait to share with everyone, and hopefully we’ll be able to see everyone soon at gigs all over the country
