More about:

Before you hear them on the radio, telly, Hot New Bands; before they’ve got a manager or an agent; before you see them smashing the main stages, it's more than likely they'll have played or received early support from This Feeling.

In February, TF shared their annual big list of Ones to Watch in the world of indie music in 2022. Every week, you can meet a new artist that made it onto that list...

If you had to put your music in two genres, which would you choose?

Synth wave and Alternative Rock.

What kind of stuff can you imagine your music being the soundtrack for?

When I listen to our music I picture a sunny day, pretty visuals and maybe a drama sequence. I could definitely see a Seagoth song in an indie movie.

Tell us an older artist and a brand new artist that inspires you.

I’ve been obsessed with alt-J for as long as I can remember & Iamkyami is killing it, we saw her perform at the Bido Lito Social in September and I was absolutely blown away.

What's the best part of playing live?

My favourite part is when I see people dancing to my tunes, there’s nothing better! The lights are cool too.

Tell us about your latest release.

Our latest release is an EP compiled of a brand new mix of our previous single ‘Eternity’ by Leaf Troup, a remix of the same song by the one and only GLOK and our new single ‘Find the Time’. The message behind this track is basically that only you know your true purpose, get to know yourself and maybe you’ll find it. Nobody is going to tell you to do the things you want to do, so just do them. Try to find the things that give you joy in life and hold onto them.

What have you got coming up?

We’ve got some great upcoming gigs including This Feeling’s ‘Big in 2022’ at Jimmy’s in Liverpool at the end of the month, we’re supporting Loose Articles in Warrington and Torture & The Desert Spiders in Northwich. We’ve also got a bunch of new music on the horizon including our biggest project to date.

What other bands tipped by This Feeling this year do you like or looking forward to seeing?

We saw Ace Ambrose at Isle of Wight and she was so cool, I’m dying to see Crawlers, The Mysterines, Gen & The Degenerates and so many others to be honest!

Issue Three of the Gigwise Print magazine is on sale now! Order here.
