More about:

Before you hear them on the radio, telly, Hot New Bands; before they’ve got a manager or an agent; before you see them smashing the main stages, it's more than likely they'll have played or received early support from This Feeling.

In February, TF shared their annual big list of Ones to Watch in the world of indie music in 2022. Every week, you can meet a new artist that made it onto that list...

If you had to put your music in two genres, which would you choose?

Indie Rock/Alternative Rock.

What kind of stuff can you imagine your music being the soundtrack for?

Depends on the song to be honest. I think some have a Kia advert in them, others would definitely be good in a high stakes chase scene. Our track 'Her Mind' most qualified for the latter.

Tell us an older artist and a brand new artist that inspires you.

David Bowie, who is of course self explanatory in the realm of inspiration. Also for new The Lathums are great and it's been very inspiring watching their journey into a success which is still in its early days for them. I am looking forward to what they have to release this year.

What's the best part of playing live?

Every gig is different and every gig is of course fun. But I think playing in new venues is something I really enjoy and seeing what the audience and vibe of a new stage has to offer us.

Tell us about your latest single?

Our last single release was 'Her Mind' which has been well received and we are very humbled for it to have been played by Radio X's John Kennedy and many other esteemed stations. As a Leeds band it's great that Leeds United have also used the song on some promo videos and they play the song at Elland Road during half time.

What have you got coming up?

We just dropped our "Truly Gone Fishing EP". The EP is a collection of all our singles we have released so far. They are what I would consider a family of related songs. In the meantime we will be getting ready to move on to our next era of material and singles!

What other bands tipped by This Feeling this year do you like or looking forward to seeing?

We played with Bedside Manners I believe years ago in Liverpool. It's great to see them going strong and doing well. I'm also a fan of Megan Wynn, she's brilliant and doing so well too. It's been great watching her successes over the last year at places like Isle Of Wight etc.
