With Glastobury 2023 all wrapped up, we're setting our sights on 2024. But who should take to the stage?

The bar was set high this year with Elton John, Arctic Monkeys, Guns and Roses, Lizzo and Lana Del Rey stepping up as headliners. But there are a whole wealth of stadium filling artists that feel ready for the Pyramid stage. Here are our top picks...

Taylor Swift

Taylor was supposed to headline back in 2020, and from Emily Eavis' statement earlier this year, it seemed like the star pulled out of 2023 as she continued her Eras Tour around the US. Recently announcing the European leg with a Glastonbury shaped whole, i'm putting my money on Taylor Swift. The Eras Tour looks like the show of the century, with a mass backcatalogue, stunning staging, a wealth of special guests and surprises; it's more than headline ready! - Lucy Harbron

Billy Joel

Billy Joel has never played Glastonbury and has a huge catalogue to work through. There are not many artists on this scale who've never played before and he's a supreme live artist who still has a great voice, so surely he deserves a shot at it. - Chris Connor

Sam Fender

Sam Fender is on such an upward trajectory off the back of his huge St James' Park shows and will headline Reading. He's already a live favourite and with a third album surely coming soon, he'll have plenty of material. He gives his all in his live shows and a Pyramid stage headline set would cement his rise to the top of the UK Pop/Rock scene. - Chris Connor

Tame Impala

Without doubt, Tame Impala are one of the biggest bands in the world these days. Yet, while there are of course "bigger" artists out there, they have already headlined Coachella, and although their latest material may not appeal to a sector of fans from their earlier years, they're more accessible than ever.

They're also still one of the absolute best live acts in the world and with their dynamic catalogue; delving from from pop bangers to their mammoth, yet otherworldly psychedelic spectacles, Tame Impala would be one of the all-time greatest headliners and regardless of new material, it's almost inevitable they will one day. - Brad Sked

Beyoncé

I know what you're thinking - Beyoncé already headlined in 2011 and it's one of the most celebrated Glastonbury performances of all time, why does she need to headline again? Well not only is that performance well over a decade ago now, but it also took place in the advent of Queen B's most critically-acclaimed work. Given the opportunity to headline the famed Pyramid Stage again in 2024, she would this time be armed with the pop bangers of her self-titled record, the dazzling genre-hopping wizardry of Lemonade and the house-infused club anthems of RENAISSANCE. 2011 was legendary but given the chance to bring another party-starting headline set to Worthy Farm, Beyoncé could well surpass her own very high bar. - Karl Blakesley

The 1975

At this point, The 1975 shouldn't really accept anything other than the headline slot. With their At Their Very Best tour continueing to rack in full-star reviews, selling out around the globe and captivating people way beyond the audience as their on-stage shenanigans keep going viral - the band are at the top of their game so could easily be at the top of the bill. - Lucy Harbron

Nick Cave + The Bad Seeds

Nick Cave is back in the studio working on a new Bad Seeds album and it's been a while since we saw the full band boom into a big live show. When their 2020 was cancelled, instead doing a smaller scale Nick Cave + Warren Ellis tour, Nick said it was because restrictions wouldn't allow him to put on the kind of show he wanted to. So with a new album on the horizon, we could be prepping for the return of all-out rock Nick Cave, meaning a Glasto set to rival their iconic, chaotic 1998 set could be on the cards? - Lucy Harbron
