Sleaford Mods may have only come to your attention over the last 12 months - their acerbic social rhetoric and headline-grabbing habit of speaking their minds on Kasabian and Paul Weller - but they've been dropping albums and terrifying fans since 2007.
The secret to their success? Well, their attitude like their music, is relentless and uncompromising. Radio play never enters their mind, so we asked them to best piece of advice they've ever been given...

"Best piece of advice? Just keep going," says Sleaford Mods vocalist Jason Williamson. "Somebody text me one night when I wasn't doing too well and just said 'Just keep writing'. In terms of music anyways - in life, probably loads of things...don't drink too much!"
Andrew Fearn chips in: "We could say 'If you hang in there then eventually...', but we can't say that. There are lots of musicians my age that have stuck by their guns and made music all their lives but still haven't got anywhere. Not because they're not good, but because of the way that things are set up."
He adds: "Do what you enjoy doing - don't make music to get famous. Make music because you like doing it for yourself."
